Appellate Practice

Land movement and Construction litigation usually involve a multiplicity of inter-related lawsuits by and between the developers, general contractor, subcontractors, engineers, geotechnical professionals and the land-owners, as well as by and between the insurance carriers for these parties. It is more typical than not to see appeals arising from the various interim rulings (Writ appellate practice) as well as final judgments. We have been handling civil Appellate litigation for more than 30 years. Mr. Rubbert's first appearance in the California Supreme Court was in 1968!

As an example, we have handled 11 appeals arising from the much-publicized Motellano landslide in Hacienda Heights, CA.

Should you have questions regarding the viability of defending against an appeal, or proceeding forward with appellate litigation, we will be pleased to confer with you at no charge for the initial consultation addressing these issues.
