Condemnation and Inverse Condemnation

A significant aspect of our practice, very closely inter-related to Landslide, Subsidence and Earth Movement litigation, is that involving actions by property owners against Governmental Entities (Inverse Condemnation) or, the opposite, actions by a Governmental Entity against a property owner to seize the property.

This is extremely complex litigation revolving about careful preparation of the geotechnical and engineering aspects of the case as well as professional appraisals and evaluation, hence its close interrelationship with other real estate litigation relating to earth movement.

For more than 20 years we have worked with many appraisers, surveyors, geologist, civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, chemical engineers and other professionals pertaining to this type of litigation, including those with Governmental entities. We have assembled a team of professional experts having superlative credentials to call upon, on short notice, to address a project and with whom we have worked on multiple projects for years.

In California, this type of litigation requires immediate action on a "FastTrack" basis. Should you have questions regarding action taken against you or your clients by governmental agencies seeking to seize property, or are considering action against a governmental agency regarding damage possibly caused by them, we will be pleased to confer with you regarding these issues at no charge for the initial consultation.
