Practice in Germany

We have a partnership relationship with Legal Counsel in Germany, called a Rechtsanwalt in German, with counsel authorized to practice law in the courts throughout Germany including in the former East Germany. The lead German counsel is frequently in the United States, particularly in California and we are jointly handling litigation both in California as well as in Germany.

Through this resource, we have access to Title Search data which is a major source of litigation in the former East Germany regarding properties confiscated by the East German regime, but returned to the former owners when the Berlin Wall fell. Who now owns it? Many Americans with roots in Germany may well have legitimate claims to such properties, and we are handling such litigation presently.

Additionally, we also have direct contact with organizations which can provide property management as well as construction, reconstruction, rental services, and related issues. Further, we have access to banking, finance, and refinance resources for real estate projects as well as architects and designers with substantial experience in Europe, particularly in Germany. For years we have represented an Interior Design firm which has done major hotels, stores and restaurants in Germany, particularly in Berlin.

Our German Legal Counsel also handles substantial collection matters in which, for example, an American entity seeks recovery from a German organization or individual.

Should you have questions regarding real estate and related matters in Germany, please contact our offices in California. Mr. Rubbert is in Germany on a regular basis.
